How to apply for accommodation at the halls of residence

Rules for accommodation of university students at dormitory of ICT Prague in the summer season 2009 and the calendar year 2009/2010

I.      Accommodation of students in the summer season 2009

a)      Summer student accommodation for students of ICT Prague means accommodation of students at the dormitory in the term from 26.6.09 to the start of the school year 2009/2010.
b)     
Summer student accommodation for students of other universities means accommodation in the term from 26.6.2009 to 4.9.2009
c)      For summer accommodation of students in 2009 the price in the amount of 1.2 of the current dormitory rent will be applied (for students who have concluded the contract for the whole year the price of the current dormitory rent applies for the whole calendar year);
In cases of special training, scholarship, pursuing of other study obligations etc. which will be confirmed by the relevant institute the price of the current dormitory rent always applies.
d)     
Application form for summer accommodation of students will be placed on the website www.vscht.cz/suz  from 1.4.2009 and must be delivered filled in to the department of accommodation services (of Administration of University Facilities) by no later than 1.6.2009;
In case of a request for accommodation that will not be paid directly by the student (special training, scholarship etc.), the application must also involve the account number from which the accommodation will be paid, the term and confirmation of the relevant institute.
e)      Evaluation of applications and information about assignment of places at the campus for student accommodation in the summer season will be published from 10.6.09 on the website www.vscht.cz/suz,
f)        The accommodation contract for summer season will be signed on the day of the lodging at the relevant campus, 

II.      Accommodation of students in the school year 2009/2010

1)      Schedule for settling applications and conditions for assigning a bed at the dormitory in the school year 2009/2010

a)      For students of ICT Prague accommodated in the school year 2008/2009
-         It is necessary to enter the accommodation reservation with the choice of a specific bed directly in the reservation system on the website www.ubytovani.vscht.cz on the basis of the assigned password within the term 1. – 30.4.2009,
-         Within the term 1. – 11.4.09 the reservation is to be preferentially made by the students interested in the accommodation in the current room and applicants for partnership accommodation.
Note: Applications for partnership accommodation are to be delivered in the written form only
-         Within the term 16. – 30.4.09 the reservation is to be made by the students interested in the accommodation in the following school year in the different room than their current room,
-         All the accommodated students interested in accommodation in the following school year may also deliver their filled in accommodation applications in a written form directly to the department of accommodation services (of AUF) by no later than  30.4.2009,
-         Forms of accommodation applications and instructions for the direct reservation of a bed will be placed from 1.4.2009 on the website www.vscht.cz/suz ,
-        
Evaluation results of applications and information about the check-in date into the dormitory will be published on the website www.vscht.cz/suz from 26.5.2009,
-         Contracts to be picked up and signed will be prepared on the day of the check in at the relevant dormitory,
-         All possible additional information in the course of submitting applications and reservations will be given by employees of the accommodation department and administration of the network of Administration of University Facilities (AUF) of ICT Prague,

b)       For freshmen:

-         AUF information letter will be sent by relevant dean´s offices together with the announcement about the study admission,
-         A future student is required to submit the application for accommodation at the dormitory to the department of accommodation services (of AUF)
by no later than 31.7.2009,
-         Application will be evaluated after concluding the study enrolment at all the faculties,
-        
Results of applications evaluation and information about the date of the check in at the dormitory will be published on the website www.vscht.cz/suz from 28.8.2009,
-         Additional enrollment and accommodation applications will be solved in a special system,
-         Accommodation documents are to be picked up at the date of the check in the department of accommodation services,

 c)      For other applicants during the school year:

-         The application is always to be settled directly in the department of accommodation services – Administration of University Facilities (AUF) of the ICT Prague – in the dormitory complex in Prague 4 – Kunratice (Sázava dormitory).

 d)      All the unsatisfied accommodation applications will be registered and satisfied continuously according to the dormitory capacity potential,

2)      Division according to the total student bed capacity for individual groups of students

For accommodation of students in the school year 2009/2010 the Administration of University Facilities (AUF) of ICT Prague will have available the bed capacity of 1.540 beds.

This comprises:
-         1.140 beds for student of higher classes including postgraduate students,
-         300 beds of the first class who were accepted for studies at ICT Prague,
-         50 beds for students studying under the „ Erasmus“ program etc.,
-         50 beds for students who were accepted for studies at ICT Prague in additional enrollment,

3)      Criteria for assignment of beds in the school year 2009/2010

Note:
There will not be evaluated accommodation applications of students who:
- have unsettled obligations in relation to the ICT Prague,
- have submitted the accommodation application with untrue information,

 4) Other arrangements

a)      Accommodation of applicants from other universities will be dealt with after satisfying needs of students of the ICT Prague or possibly on the basis of reciprocity.

For the school year of 2009/2010 the applicants may fill in the accommodation application either for the school year (9/09-6/10) or the calendar year (9/09-8/10).

b)      Payment of accommodation fee and other fees related to accommodation (visits, telephone charges etc.) is executed in the form of collection payment. Accommodation contract includes the request for filling in the account number from which the payment for accommodation will be executed and before the check in at the dormitory the applicant will be required to present the consent of the relevant bank with the collection payment (applies to newly accommodated students) or the declaration of honour of the applicant concerning the opening of the collection payment (applies to the students already accommodated in the previous season). The above mentioned consent (or the declaration of honour) must be presented during the check in at the relevant dormitory. The account number for collection payment for accommodation services is 156 290 139 / 0300. Payments in cash (or possibly via credit cards) will be only accepted in case of a short-term accommodation for the time period shorter than 1 calendar month and in the individual cases on the basis of the approved written application sent to the department of accommodation services of AUF.

c)      The applicant who will be assigned a bed and without any written announcement (cancellation at least 14 days before the given date of the check in) will not check in at the dormitory there may be a penalty in the amount of the monthly accommodation fee.

d)      Postponed check in (check in at the dormitory after the stated date) may be only accepted after the preliminary telephone arrangement (subsequently confirmed in the written form) with employees of the department of accommodation services with the maximal time of postponing of 14 calendar days.

e)      Possible abjurations and unspecified individual cases that are not mentioned in these rules are solved by a three-member committee consisting of the AUF director, the head of the department of AUF accommodation services and the representative of the dormitory council. Abjurations and requirements not specified above are to be sent to the secretariat of the AUF director (address: K Verneráku 950, 148 28 Praha 4 – Kunratice).

f)        All necessary forms will be downloadable on the website www.vscht.cz/suz from 1.4.2009.
